Default Car is DONE I am back in business BIOTCHES

Just got back from the shop and my alignment is puss in all four corners and in the green. The rear pass that was damaged is maxxed out and off 1.2 degrees or something like that but my guy said I would chew up the tires before the car ever did. HAHA He is actually very **** and said he would not worry about it. New wheels will be in late next week, New hood on Tuesday, will then take it to the body shop to have RK sports spoiler and tigershark front buper painted and installed. I should be ricerific by the Advanced Dyno open house

Actually for now I am. Putting on the RK Sports hood, spoiler, and tiger shark front. Going to just add a hi/low to my stock deck and drop a 12" in the hole for now. I will get to the show system later. At this point I want to enjoy a light car.

Is it 1.2 neg or 1.2 pos camber in the rear? positive camber makes the car handle crappy and we all know that you don't need that.

Congrats on getting it back on the road.

Rich- I have no idea. I need to look at the paperwork. Car is all over the road. when I drove it home the rains were here so I thought it was just plaining in the rain. I drove it yesterday around town and there is definately an issue. I am going to have them look into it today.

"Off 1.2 degrees" implies to me that the closest they could get to the desired setting was still 1.2 degrees away. That is huuuuuuuuuuuge and certainly not acceptable. Get back to us with the exact specs as soon as you can, until then avoid driving it. Really sorry to hear about your troubles man.

I was thinking the same thing. A 1.2 could be the difference between normal and HUGE tire wear or normal and chitty handling.

And being 1.2 off would also imply that either a major suspension component is bent (w/ all AL control arms not likely, they're more likely to break before they bend) or one of the mounting points has shifted.

You would never guy what they found. some how the large nut that connects the tie rod to the cradle was loose They said it was never tight. I fail to understand this. I am not sure if this is possible, but I think that when they actually FIXXED the alignment it loosened it because it was so far out. I would have thought this was checked buy they said because it is not a "wear" item they normally do not check that side? Whatever if all is well I am a very happy camper.

Hey Teddy, did you ever read this reply I wrote: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...post1563437001 (ignore the fluff at the top, just read the last 2 paragraphs)?

I'd really take the car over to Nick or Robert and have them go over everything in the suspension. Have them look for hair-line cracks in any of the susp components or the cradle, look for loose nuts 'n bolts etc and of course the hubs. Hopefully you're buddy does the right thing and will pay for a few ours of shop-time.
