Hi Larry, I have owned my 65/396 for about 20 years and had it Bloomington Gold in 2010 and now having it Chapter NCRS next week. So I'm taking out the Die Hard to put in the resto battery in and noticed a clip on the fire wall behind the battery. Well the restorator did not put the pos. side of the cabel areound it so i looked in the Assembly manual and it is shown in the section AC so I thougt well if AC cars had it dose 396 have it to? Well I posted and JohnZ answered. So add that to the list if you really have a 65/396? Best,Bill

Would some on be kind enough to look at their 65 SB and see if there is a clip to the right of where the wire harness plugs in to? I know this is an AC diagram. Thanks

Thanks JohnZ for the PM, Bill

    Hi, Bill -

That clip directly behind the battery (shown in section C60, sheet E2, View "A", with the 30* note next to it) was only used on all A/C cars and on the L-78 cars. Cars with the battery on the passenger side didn't have that clip - it was only for the positive battery cable with A/C or L-78.

    Regards, John

    Hi Larry,
I'm not sure how to edit my profile but will try. Just in case, I'm from Sacramento and have a 65 396 and a 66 427 w/ air. You're from around Olympia, right?
