Default Upper ball joint question.

I need some help. I'm having my race car's alignment and corner balance done. Upon inspection, the shop noticed that the upper front ball joints are worn and shot. They told me it's better to get the ball joint already installed into the control arm from the factory rather than heat up control arm and install new ball joints. The reason is that the car will only be driven in race conditions.

Is this really the best option or can I just have them heat it up and put the new ball joint in? Does it weaken it? What's the best brand or should I go with OEM?

I'm still pretty green at the suspension details, so your help is appreciated.

Thanks guys
