Installed Alloy Gators on my Torch Red C7 - With Install pics!

I do think it looks decent when color matched to the car but would likely not put on my car for a couple of reasons... I don't "love" the look but most importantly I don't think it wouldn't pass inspection for track days.

Melting Slicks
According to the FAQ on their website, they can be removed. But it looks like it would become a hassle if you change tires every season.

So, Far no issues to report. Tire pressure never budged and they still look good and are staying in place. I recommend getting them but just be careful to make sure rims are 100% clean. The only issue i had was when I was wiping away the soapy water during installation. I put some light scratches on the rim from the residual brake dust.

Got my vote
after over 60% liked the look, including my wife, i installed them today.
Here was the poll i did a few weeks ago.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c7-g...r-without.html
if you were one of the 40%, you don't need to tell me you don't like because it will hurt my feelings.:d
first step is to install the clips
then jack up the car, release all the air, spray soapy water all the way around the rim and bang it in with a rubber mallet.
then trim the overage with a pair of snips.
then put glue on the joint
then bang it in quickly before super glue dries and put glue on seam cover
then inflate the tire to 15 psi, and bang it in again with more soapy water. Inflate the rest of the way and drop the jack.
the first wheel took 1 hour because i was gentle with the mallet. The rest took only 12 to 15 minutes per wheel, including jacking, air removal and refil, and the installation.

Oh, I don't know. I am thinking I might eventually install these on a Blade Silver car with chrome wheels, red calipers, and the red interior...Should look S.W.E.E.T..........!!!

I think the look is really cool too! So, I checked out the Alloy Gators web site ..... In the FAQs the question is asked (to the effect), can the product withstand high speed. The question is dodged, somewhat, and we are told that they are recommended only up to the posted speed limit.
That gives me pause .... Some Corvette owners occasionally exceed the posted speed limit.
