ls7/zo6 Heads
My zo6 Tends to smoke a little more than Im comfortable with, the Guides must be worn out?
Valve Seats worn too?
How Much should It cost to Get this issue fixed if I dropped the heads off at a shop?

See the below post for the heads I am referencing and look at posts #15 and 16 to see exactly what he does to fortify these great LS7 heads:

You can also contact Richard at West Coast Cylinder Head and do the same thing with him also. Good luck!

That price seems about right. That's roughly what I'm paying to get the guides swapped out (and to R&R the heads). My car was smoking a bit, too, and it turned out to have another broken valve seal. This is the second time I've had to replace seals. Not sure what's going on, but hopefully this will be the last time it happens.

I would expect $500-700 to R&R the heads. Then ~$600 just to do new guides, clean them up, and valve job. While they are off I would just get them decked/ported and get some power too.

The heads are the Problem... what else needs to be assed on their condition? Its not like im just going to Change the Guides... once the heads are off they will be Ported/Polished, New valves, guides, seals... everything.

Oil in the combustion chamber can come from more places than the guides..... Which was why I originally asked you why you came to the conclusion it was heads. If you are smoking beyond initial start up, then the intake guide seals may not be the problem, and most likely are not the problem.
