Default What is the best track tire with a treadwear of 200 or more.

I am running 07 Z06 rims and tires on a 67 Camaro. I have a event this summer that limits the tires to a 200 treadwear.
Last year I recked a set of Super Cars. Is their a better choice for this tear. ( Normally track on R6 ). I am looking for some used tires for this event as well. Thanks Randy

Well I haven't had a chance to try but the Nitto NT05's have a T/W of 200 and several folks here said they worked fairly well on the track.

I'm really liking the Toyo R888's (220 or so)

I botl them on drive to the track ( 1 hr away) and drive home. may not be as quick at R6's ,but they last longer and haven't pushed my rubber bushings out yet.

What sizes are you running? I did not see the 325/30/19 on the web site.

335 X 18 rear
295 X 295 fronts.

I'm not sure what sizes are available for 19" rears.

I'm picking up a set at the end of the month....using them for HPDE, I can't find a better option that are OEM C6Z06 sizes and sub $2k. They are supposed to be a great tire

The Nitto NT05s are a good choice from a cost and performance stand point. They aren't quite as sticky as the GY EMTs and grip will fall off toward the end of a 20 minute session. However, they do wear like iron. I got 26 track days and a bunch of autocrosses out of a set. They do squeal like stuck pigs when pushed in a corner and they smell like horse manure so don't park the car in a garage attached to the house or the wife will be hating you.
