My TexasMile March 27-29 2009 201.43mph results
Since I had attended The Texas Mile in 07 and did 167mph cam only, I let the need for speed get its way with me. See my sig for mods by Dallas Performance
So I went forged 402 w FI vortech T-trim SC plus accompanying power mods.
My car # is 427. First day I used my street Nitto Invo 345s and did practice runs.
Next day switched to my 18x305 MT ETs and was running high to mid 190’s. Guys in the next paddock with the ZR1 told me if you get on it, it will go 200+. So I did and got 201.43. almost let 1st get away from me
I wanted to see the car in front run and hear the time.fast forward to 2:35 for my run. LINK BELOW... Anybody, How do you imbed a video?

I learned a few things, an 18” Z06 widened repro with slicks will not fit on the 2009 ZR1 with the 20” rears and brakes. Bone stock they can go 184mph in the mile.
A 07 Z06 roof can still delaminate. I'll post pics
You really need BBK to get a C6 stopped from 200mph in less than a mile. My Rotors are a purple color now. Pics later
The Penske Coilovers from HardbarUSA choice I made and installed on my car performed great at speed up top . seems like the faster I went the more anchored it was. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...3-12-09-a.html
I pdf'd the 201.43 certificate but need to convet to jpg to insert

very nice vid...i guess they dont use VHT on the start...looked like you were headed for a quick left turn shortly after you let your clutch out in first...

nice speed, did you happen to see SW in the black boostlogic supra throw a rod through their block on their 2nd run?
They set the record on their first run at 246mph
If I don't sell my supra this year I definately want to take it to the texas mile next year.

Then I saw the red supra fast times as well. There could have been 2 red ones. one of them came towed back from the finish line w something like white dust all over the front hood area..fire supression system???? I dont know

Thanks for the vid. I had never actually seen the Texas Mile done. For some reason I thought it was more like Bonneville where you get a mile to accelerate, a mile to measure your top speed and a mile for decel. So now I know it's just a standing mile which for some reason makes me feel better about trying it.
