Default OnStar module location on an '08 C6??

Hello, guys
I need some help from you experts here.
I'm trying to find the OnStar module inside my '08 C6 coupe.
I've removed the whole center console, radio, HVAC, and the passenger glove box, but couldn't find where it's at.
I heard the Z06 has it underneath the passenger seat, but where's the module on a C6?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Dan

I appreciate the help, guys.
By rear compartment, did you mean the storage area with the lid on it(preferred NPP in a box location)?
Cuz I've searched, but couldn't find it.
Any tips on how to expose it?
The rear hatch floor carpet seemed like it would require quite a work to remove.
A little more help would be great!! Thanks again, guys!

it is in the right side well storage, that is why if you by Ed's mild to wild, plus the nice cover, the cover has to be cut to fit and the vac line routed a bit different,

Thanks for the help guys.
So basically, I have to remove the hatch floor carpet and the right compartment(Does it pop out?) to access the module?

I'll try to remove the carpet tomorrow. Any tips on how to not damage it while removing?
Sorry for all the annoying questions.

I had it replaced in my 2005 by the dealer as the original one was analog cellular and it had to be changed to digital cellular.

It is where it has been noted above. Given that the bin was not re-installed correctly when I got the car back, you "may" be able to gain access to it by taking the bin out. From my experience it is somewhat flexible and bendable.

If you open the right storage bin, and pull the carpet away from the front side of the bin (pull the front carpet towards the center of the bin) you will expose the module. No need to remove the rear carpet. That being said, I believe the carpet is just laying in the trunk. Posts about guys putting in sound insulation mention it just lifting out after you pop off the two holders for the top.
