Still interested in Raleigh, although Charlotte might be more central for the responders to the original post. Then again, most folks wouldn't object to a trip to Myrtle Beach.
Anyway, here is a bump.

Let's see, my last reply got deleted by the CF. Chuckie must have some influence here. Perhaps the CF and the rest of you ought to read some threads that don't get deleted. Here's one to start you off. Just trying to save you guys some grief. Bad Cow
Oh, and nice try there, Hendricks Chev.

Melting Slicks
I haven't read all the links but if they are true then it should not be a problem with the CF owners. Maybe Chuck will reply and give his account. CF surely doesn't want less than legitimate sponsors on their forum.

If your post is missing from this thread, it’s because it was in conflict with one or more Corvetteforum rules:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...ate-links.html
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...rd-others.html
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...hijacking.html
I’ve left some that are in conflict with the rules …
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...questions.html
… to address a continuing conflict which some users perpetuate without letting the facts deter them.
1. Corvetteforum does not endorse one supporting vendor over another. It’s up to users to decide which vendor offers the products and services that meet their needs and at a price they are comfortable with.
2. When disputes arise between users and vendors, Corvetteforum is typically not in a position to determine who is right and who is not. We have seen some instances where a vendor was wrong and some instances where the customer was wrong. We encourage the parties in a dispute to work together offline to resolve their conflicts and, when requested, will try to facilitate a resolution that works for both sides in the conflict. When that fails, we ask the parties involved to post a factual account of the unresolved dispute as per site rules: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...-disputes.html
3. We do not allow bashing of vendors by third-parties who have not done business with a vendor. Since they have no first-hand experience with the vendor, their online comments would be unfair and suspect of a hidden agenda.
4. When, through the posting of unresolved dispute threads, a pattern emerges that indicates a vendor has not offered quality parts, service or customer relations, we remove those vendors from the site. Fortunately, that isn’t necessary with most supporting vendors on the site, but we have removed several dozen vendors through the years and have assisted at least one Forum member in successfully prosecuting a vendor in court.
5. We know there are intense rivalries between some of the vendors at Corvetteforum and we have rules in place that prohibit vendors from making direct or indirect references to their rivals in open threads. As supporting vendors, they have exclusive rights to market and promote their products and services on the site, but must do so by selling what they offer, rather than criticizing what their competitors offer.
6. We know sometimes the loyal customers of one vendor have a tendency to bash vendors who compete with their vendor of choice. On two occasions since Corvetteforum was launched in 1999, the level of activity in such so-called “Vendor Wars” or “Tuner Wars” have reached the intensity that we have had to impose moratoriums through which we’ve asked for the cooperation of the vendors/tuners involved to show some leadership toward trying to rein in their loyal customers.
7. The most recent moratorium, involving the vendor referenced in this thread and two competitors, was put in place on Aug. 3, 2007. It met with some success initially, but has persisted to the point where we now will recommend that the conflicts need to be resolved in a court of law and that no further posting pursuant to the rivalries will be tolerated until the matter is adjudicated and the results reported.
The Internet is a big place. We don’t presume to have any control or influence over what takes place anywhere other than Corvetteforum, where we feel a strong obligation to maintain the site as a fun and friendly place for Corvette enthusiasts to spend time. We have a strong sense of fair play, trying to treat users with civility and respect even when those values are not reciprocated.
If you have questions, please let us know via PMs or e-mails.
