Radar Projector description:
You can display your Valentine 1™ radar detector in your DIC, HUD and even BOTH . Radar Projector! The RP is only displayed in street mode of the HUD.
The tiny Radar Projector™ comes with everything you need right out of the box. It plugs into your car at the OBD-II port under the steering column with the included cable. It automatically controls the power to your Valentine 1™, using the telephone cord included with your Valentine 1™, by sensing when you turn your engine on and off without the need for tapping fuses, wires or using the lighter outlet. With its incredible efficiency and intelligence it's designed to be left plugged in to your car at all times. We have a solution for users that have something already plugged into the OBD-II port. There is an additional proprietary splitter that allows two devices to be plugged into the OBD-II port at the same time, which is available at the time of purchase. That way you can use both devices simultaneously.
All information from your Valentine 1™ is transferred to the DIC and/or HUD so you don't have to take your eyes off the road to have radar situational awareness.
There is simply nothing else like the Radar Projector™ available!
Priced at $250.00 it is an amazing value!
The Radar Projector is available for the Valentine 1 and Escort 9500ci (custom install) radar detectors.
For Escort 9500ci version click here.
The Radar Projector is only compatible with the Valentine 1 radar detector and the Escort 9500ci. The RP is not compatible with any other radar detectors.

I had one small problem with the unit and the gang repaired it no questions asked.
My question now is, can I get my unit "reprogrammed" for this new mode ? If so, how much ?

I've had my Dashtronics for two years now. Its absolutely great ! Coupled with a Blendmount bracket, its almost "invisible" to the casual observer.

You can upgrade your Radar Projector to have ESP functionality. And can even upgrade to a Radar projector + Progressive Shift combo if you would like.
Go to www.shop.dashtronix.com and in the Corvette section you will find the upgrade your RP product. Complete the order, mail us your RP and we will upgrade it and send it back to you right away.
Thanks,

So if I have a Valentine 1 and a blendmount kit wired into the rear-view, does the cable run along the drivers side pillow and across the headliner and plug into the port on the radar that way? I guess I'm just trying to visualize it.

The wiring from the Radar Projector to the V1 runs from the area where the unit is mounted by the hood release on the driver kick panel area, up behind the a pillar, and is underneath the headliner. Only a small part of the cable is exposed where it plugs into the V1.
The mirror power cord would no longer be used as the Radar Projector powers the V1 on and off when the car is started and turned off.
The entire user manual and install guide is available on the user's manuals page at:
