Michelin tires
I have checked with Tirerack and their Customer Service says that I have to replace with Goodyear for a 2006 Z06. Also checked with Michelin Customer Service and they say that there is no replacement tire for the stock sizes. Can anyone help me with some infromation for the Z06 Michelin tire replacement talked about since the introduction of the new ZR1. I want to reduce the tire road noise that unfortunately comes with the stock tires. Thankyou.

That would be correct for the foreseeable future.
The Bridgestone Potenza RE050A runflats that fit the Z06 are BackOrdered and have been for a while.
The Michelin PS2 runflats (ZR1 tires) won't be available in the Z06 size until next year.

While Michelin dosen't have a 325/30-19 runflat for the rear they do have a 345/30-19 runflat that some people are using along with the stock size fronts.

Yes, the Michelin's are made in the U.S.A. for I bought a set of the Pilot Sport PS2 ZP's for my C5 in OEM size. They were made in South Carolina, U.S.A. I need a set for my C6 Z06 but I may have to wear out another set of Goodyears until the Michelin's come out. The Michelin's I put on my C5 are quieter and better ride than the Goodyears but the Goodyears were not that bad. I wore my Goodyears out on the C6 Z06 doing track events and I don't think they will last another year or so until the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP's come out. If I have to get another set of tires before the Michelin's come out in OEM sizes, I get another set of Goodyears. The Goodyears that were on my C5 and the Goodyears that are on my C6 Z06 were made in the U.S.A. but I can't speak for all Goodyears, for some are made in Canada I think.

My post was to point out that no matter where the company is headquartered, it has nothing to do with where the item is manufactured. You can be a 100% Made In The USA believer, but what you end up with isn't always what you think you are getting. Many of use Lipitor, but they are made in Ireland and Puerto Rico. I'm not about to stop using Lipitor just because it's not made in the USA.

Some of us chose to buy Made in the U.S.A., when ever possible. Having said that I realize that is not always possible. Some times things we need or want, we have no choice. However, when there is a choice, I go with Made in the U.S.A. That's just me and I realize everyone has their own priorities.

Too bad these rears are so pricey. Maybe after taxes I'll roll the dice

I have an 08Z that I bought new a year ago & the original goodyear runflats were shot at 7000 miles & a week ago I changed to the Michelin PS2's( 275/35/18 fronts, 345/30/19 rears). Even though the rear tires are a little wider & taller than the stock 325/30/19, I have no issues with fiting easily on the rims( the tech said they were easier going on than the stock goodyear runflats & he has changed many as he is the tech at a chevy dealer who does corvettes mainly). The ride & handling is much better than the stock runflats & noise is somewhat better( not a huge difference, but better). The turnin is very slightly less than the runflats( can barely tell) but the dartiness is much better when the grooves of the road will tend to pull you off line. All in all a quantum improvement & it makes for a much better daily driver as it now has a much more compliant ride probably due to the softer sidewall. I've experienced no issues whatsoever with traction control lights coming on, rubbing of the rear tires due to the slightly larger size( fronts are stock). Imho.
