Front License Plate Bracket
This may have been discussed here before but one of the issues with the C6 design is the lack of an integrated front license plate location. C6s in states that require front license plates (like my home state of Virginia), lose a LARGE dose of character along the front bumber due to the cheap looking tacked-on look of the license plate. I love the C6 but it's a Bad Oversight by the Corvette designers!
And another thing...why don't they paint that 3rd brake light housing?!

When they tried the painted third brake light in the crash test the paint got scuffed. Regulations do not allow this so they had to change.

What about floor mats, cup holders, C5 butt vs. C6 butt, and "How do I get a C6 brochure"?

It wasn't long ago folks in Texas were putting their license plates inside the car to keep uninsured lowlifes from stealing them. Well, it became a safety concern to have all those loose license plates flying around during collisions. The Texas legislature went to a lot of trouble to provide us with another windshield sticker that supposedly makes plate theft fruitless. If you wear your license plate inside now, I expect the man in the chocolate serge shirt, blue tie, and cowboy hat will be wanting to know why.
I drove my C4 around Texas for years with the front filler still installed. I was even stopped in College Station for speeding. The cop was a nice guy and let me off; he mainly wanted to find out if the car was stolen...he never said a word about the lack of a front plate. Keeping the bracket and plate behind the seat is my preference.

Do you know if it is specifically prohibited? Just curious.

Texas is definitely a two plate state by law. The only conclusion I can draw is that law enforcement does not consider the front plate to be high priority, and consequently do not routinely check for their presence. Or...maybe I have just been lucky...for years. The less attention you call to yourself, the better off you are...especially with a red Corvette.

Nothing that cant be changed with little cost:
The lower plate for the C6 is my design and costs very little:
For about $200 you can change the back 3rd light:
Its all fun, it gives you the opportunity to personalize your car.
Enjoy
