06 coupe drivers door will not open from outside
Had go thru passangers door to open drivers door from inside. Assuming drivers door switch is bad and should be replaced? Has anyone had same problem? FOB battery is new and car battery is new.

I just had the same problem. i could only open the door with the lever on the floor or trunk. Inside and outside buttons did not work.
Tech replaced the whole lock assembly. He said it was more prone to the drivers side door and not on the passenger side due to drivers side being used more.
Lucky for me it was covered under warranty. The total bill was right around $400

I just had the problem, you can unscrew the two screws then un plug then there are 6 little screws to take apart spray with electrical contact cleaner and clean with scotch brite pad or sand paper spray again wipe clean and then coat with dielectric grease, put back together, and it works better then new

Mine wouldn't let me out but would let me in . $15 for a new door switch and I was good to go. You can test to see if that's the problem by swapping driver and passenger side door switches and see if the problem follows the switch.

It's cheap & easy to replace the pads.
Caution: When you remove the old pad, DON'T LET THE WIRING DROP BACK INTO THE DOOR!
Don't know how you'd fish it out of the door, or even if it's do-able. Never tried, don't want to.
Just to be safe, tie a long piece of string to the wiring.

Corrosion on the outside door touchpads is common -- especially in warm humid climates, like the OP's Alabama.

In case you need it. Here is the part # 088956758 for the lock assembly. It looks like it was $212.77 and the labor to put in was 94.70
The lock assembly is actually in the B-pillar and not the door itself.
