As a dealer once joked, "If NADA thinks it's worth that much, then they should pay you that much for it. But I won't"

Ebay is notorious for not getting the price. You won't get it there, but I don't think it's too high otherwise. A dealer would certainly have it higher than that on their lot.

I sold my DSOM 06 a couple months ago and got $23,500 to a Ford dealer. Coupe with 71K on it! I'd say your on the right track, it may take time.

Sold my 2011 2LT coupe to Carmax for 30.5k with 28k miles and I might have gotten $32 to 33 for it in the private market . No way I would pay that much for an 8 year old car , even if it is a vette .

All you have to do is look on any site that sells stuff, houses, cars etc.
If they are on the site longer than 1 month, then guess what?????
Most times it's because they are not priced correctly.
I bought my vette on Autotrader.com, and didn't even look on ebay.
Put your ad on the different sites to cover all the people that look for cars on the various sites.
Good Luck on the sale.

Ebay is a great place to look for a car, but it always gets sold in a side deal for less money. Great place to look, not to actually sell.

EDMUNDS? You cannot be serious! Their values are a complete joke. They are not even in the realm of reality. The absoulute worst figures!

This C6 is a CONVERTIBLE! It is worth MORE than a coupe! Good Lord!

I figure the absolute highest price I want to pay and if it is $5,000 more than current bid, I may only pay $100 more. Depends what others have automatically set as their Highest bid.
So, don't let no bids fool you into lowering your price. As mentioned set a reserve price. If you want $27K set your bidding at $20K. You won't lose out if it doesn't reach your reserve.

People here will tell you it's way to high, but then when it comes to sell theirs, they want top $.
I think your car is in the $26-$29K range.

Another thing you can do, if you have a Carmax around is see what they will offer you, then add to that a couple thousand $ and see where you are.

Good luck with your sale.
I agree 100%. The car is worth every penny for what your asking. It has 41k miles on it, not high in my book at all IMO. Just wait it out and someone will bite. I just like to see some of the other posts where guys are having an anxiety attack of the price and mileage. That to me is PRICELESS Jay

Not much, maybe 1k tops for the same options on a coupe. If a vert is say 3k more new than the same optioned coupe it is not 3k more when used. % depreciation.

We all know its a convertible, we can read. People are just using coupe prices to give an idea of what similar cars in the coupe form are selling for. Granted, the vert is slightly more but dont fool yourself in to thinking "OMG! I HAVE A CONVERIBLE SO ITS WORTH A BOAT LOAD MORE!" because it isnt.

You're wrong. I've bought a LOT of cars, and most always I can get them around Edmunds private party +.

NADA is a "feel good" website for people that already own the cars they're looking up.

Sell the car on autotrader not eBay.

Even craigslist is better than eBay.

I'd say a convertible 2006 with 41k miles should sell easy at 28500.

Tell your wife to calm her jets too...

I hate when women get like that....what car can you buy for this kind of money...I assume it's your weekend toy and my suggestion is just sell your daily driver and use the vette...

Not really knowing your situation....and just talking about the 2006 c6 convertible with 41k miles...28500 is the number.. IMO and that car is stunning...the buyer will be getting a great deal...

The color combo is elegant and beautiful but unique and that does slow down the buying process sometimes....

If the wife's already gone and this is part of the settlement...sell the car fast just to end having any connection the witch!

Uhhh, WRONG!

You can admit it, get over yourself and move on or be in denial.

But equally equipped and condition values

between 2006 coupe and convertibe is $26,000 for the coupe and $30,500 for the convertible.

Just using the 2010 pricing guide a coupe starts at $49,980, the vert $54,530... to get the 4LT in the coupe costs $7,705... vert = $9,700 (power top?) any other options are equal in price so you're talking

$57,685 for a coupe...... $64,230 for a vert... a $6,545 difference.

and I don't know how to tell you this, but the top didn't go down on the new coupe, and it still doesn't go down when its a used coupe.

BTW, the coupe is worth 47% of original price, the vert is also at 47%.

Your "worth" is not calculated on actual sales. Keep thinking what you want. Who in the hell pays sticker price new? haha But lets use your numbers. Remember, these are YOURS and what you wanted to bring up.

$49,980 * 47% = $23,490
$54,530 * 47% = $25,629 Which is a difference of $2,138

$54,530 - $49.980 is a difference of $4,550.

Do you see now what I was saying? Or are you still not able to? This is what I said and it is 100% correct.

If a vert is say 3k more new than the same optioned coupe it is not 3k more when used. % depreciation.
So by math, to prove to you that you quoted me, told me I was wrong, gave numbers and "tried" to sound smart................that you are actually the one who is wrong because well, math is not your friend.

So its a 2k difference, not quite the 1k I said. But as you can see I am correct in that I said its a percent of depreciation. The gap (gap is the same as difference in case someone here is a math dummy) gets closer as depreciation takes place if the % is the same.

From the auciton data I have looked at, your car is well worth your asking price and WILL sale with a little patience in the 29-30K range.

Default Am I asking to much

Hang in there if you can, a nice clean car will always sell. If you think the car is worth a certain amount wait to see what happens. I wonder what some of these guys would sell there cars for? Good luck , and be patient.

Best thing to do is go to the Carmax web site and find one that has similar mileage and is the same year. Then adjust your price if needed.

After looking around your car should bring about 28-29K retail no more. I would set the reserve at 27K and you will still be in the ball park and it might motivate a buyer to act on the sale.
