What modifications do you regret doing?
I am curious to hear what mods you have done to your C6 that you wished you had not done. Over the years of building bikes and cars I tend to get caught up in the discussions either on forums or with some of the builders I hang out with...and one beer leads to another and an idea is born. From that money (usually a lot) is spent and a few weeks (or more) down the road I'm done. While I am happy with what I have done, I realize that I really didn't need to do what I just did.
I have made suspension changes that fit one venue only to find that I am now using it differently and have to undo that work. I have had some high end custom paint jobs that are fantastic to look at only to realize that to preserve the paint I can't run it like I had planned.
What if any have you had to deal with?

When people spend a bunch of money for something, they usually value it a lot more than people who don't buy it. Things often have to get pretty bad before they admit they made a mistake. Instead of asking what people wish they hadn't done, a less embarrassing question is what will you not do again?
I have few mods and I am happy I did all of them and would do all again except the oil catch can. Yes, it works to keep the engine cleaner but it is a hassle to empty every year. I'm glad I bought it, it looks cool (if you know what it is), and I can recommend it to others because it does work with obvious performance results but I won't be buying another.

I got some aftermarket shocks from a big name brand, but from a handling perspective they did nothing. I did pay about half price as they were takeoffs from another person on CF.

I'd spend more money on truly custom seats instead of trying to stick with the stock look and nicer leather (love my current seats, but for what I paid, I could have paid slightly more to the same vendor and gotten more aggressive seats).
I'm removing the Corsa Touring pipe on my car and going back to stock mid-pipe to make my car have the Corsa Sport exhaust.
Otherwise I'm happy with most of my mods, some are not what I expected but I'd probably still do them again.

Two cosmetic mods I almost did and am now glad I didn't.
Cyber gray headlights and red floor mats on my AW vert with red interior.
Edit: Also, body color door pulls. Instead of blending in, IMO it accentuates the "hole" in the side.

C6 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
When I had my 06 MR Vert I was worried that Corsa Sports would be too loud so I went with the touring setup. In less than a few weeks I replaced the x pipe with the baffles for a x pipe for the Corsa Sports.
Waste of around $450. Live and learn. But I did get to keep the system when I traded for the AW 07.

This is a good question and topic
If I had to do over I would not have added a CAI on a engine that will remain stock. At one point I thought I would add LT headers, but have decided against it.
I purchased a Vararam, which by many is considered one of the best if not the best, but it required me to cut the radiator shroud, so I will have to now replace it when I sell the car in a few years (going to get a 2013 427 or C7 Convertible). In the end, to me was not worth the time or money. NOTE: Not a knock on CAI's, but best results are when used with modified engines)
Yep, that's why I still have two of the three TA's I have owned. I too regret selling a WS.6 TA, but no regrets having a C6

Haven't done any mods to my 2012 yet. But as a kid, I still regret wasting my money on a chip & muffler for a 1989 Formula 500 Firebird back in the 1990's.
It's one of the reasons I remain very skeptical about the supposed gains from tunes & airboxes.

1. rear bumper letter inserts - should have just had Corvette lettering painted and saved the hassle of catching the wash mitt every other time I wash the car necessitating replacing it every year
2. the tune - one problem after another, don't "feel it" anymore, performance doesn't seem better than same non-tuned cars
3. upgraded rad with integrated EOC+TOC. Needed separate coolers in < 1yr
4. Nitto NT-05's - burned thru them in 7 track days, Kumho XS lasted 15
5. the steering wheel from APsis is great but I chose alcantara for part where palms touch and it wore away quick and now feels like sh*&. Will get that part reupholstered so would not chose this again. The perforated leather looks and feels great, would stick with that
