i did notice the last few days that when the car locks it no longer beeps. now i no longer have a horn at the steering wheel control either...when i lock the car the lights just flash, but no horn. i havent had a chance to dig into this yet...anyone have any ideas where to begin?

i was on the highway tonight and kept hitting all the red lights on the way back from dinner. the highway was empty except for a mustang that kept coming up on my side at every light. i wasnt in the mood for racing and didnt really get the impression he did either. after this continued at the third traffic light i finally decided to really gas it and i lost him pretty easily. after slowing back down and after a few more minutes of driving, the mustang catches up and puts his window down to talk. i put my window down as well and he was a friendly fellow who said that he didnt want to race but just wanted to "hear the vette take off"
so we go our separate ways at the next exit and i go to honk my horn at him in a friendly gesture to say goodbye and... i guess it was probably the only time i ever really used my horn in the car....GUESS WHAT? no horn! damn thing doesnt work!

The usual suspects...
-- Make sure the horn lead is securely connected.
-- Test the horn by directly connecting to the battery.
-- Replace fuse and check the relay... use a known good one.
-- Any work done on the steering wheel?
-- Any problems with headlights, windshield washer or? Might be corrosion on the underside of fuse block.

Your title and first post begins like a "street racing" story -- which the Moderators would lock.
But it's not about racing. It's about your horn not working. So I don't think it will be locked.
If you're worried, just edit the post.

when under the hood and i press the fob a hear clicking which should indicate that the relay is still good i assume and the #2 fuse (15amp) is still good. would this indicate the horn unit itself? and is this easy to access from under the passenger side front bumper?
