No. The wobble is from the balancer down low in front spinning the belt. If faulty it can be seen wobbling. At times it squeals a bit too. If its going out its actually self destructing and if not replaced in time, can cause severe damage to other parts. If your motor seems to rock back and forth more than it should when revving you may have a cracked motor mount.

It's more like a left to right wobble. It's only noticeable when it's sitting at idle. I haven't noticed any belt squealing either. I bought it as a Certified car so if there are things that need attention, I want it done on GM's dime. Thanks for the reply.

There's another post that just came out, someone's HB actually separated and the pulley moved back into the engine, there's pictures posted so you can see what happens when it really goes bad.
The name of the post is "Crank Pulley Out of Alignment".........

Here is mine, the HB coming off the crank and stopping at the steering rack. I figure the nut backed out 55k miles on c5z

I have read a few threads about people who use a different pulley and have problems later on, but I never heard of anybody having a problem with the ATI balancer. 07 with 150,000 miles on it & no problems with my ATI!

Just checked it again yesterday at 67,100...wobble is worse . Gonna take it in soon and get it replaced. I'm going with the supposedly "newer" GM version. I can't afford an ATI or other aftermarket one right now, just getting a GM one installed right now is stretching the budget. I was quoted $700 parts and labor (that's with tax).

Just picked my car up yesterday, local well respected garage mechanic (Certified GM Corvette Mechanic) did my ATI replacement. Said the old one wasn't too bad but my thinking is better safe than sorry and it did have a pretty good wobble in it. He had the car a week, total price with labor, the ATI, ARP bolt and 2 new Gates belts was $832.

Congrats on your repairs. ATI is the way to go, IMO.

06 with 64K with a lot of wobble. Ordered HB and bolt along with a pin kit(might as well pin it while in there). I have access to a lift. Anyone know about how long it should take to change it? I know what needs to be done, just want to know how long it took to change it out.

I bought my car with 40,000 miles on it. Was slightly wobbling when I bought it. I used it to get the price down. I'm gathering my cam parts and will do the cam when I replace the balancer with an ATI unit.
I test drove 6 c6s before I bought this z51 manual. Every car had a wobbling pulley.

Very smart, save on labor charges.

2000 HB problem at 60,000 after 13 years. I guess not too bad. But still, they should have done a redesign ...

50k, came off after a "corvette specialist" pulled it to do front seal leak.

I have a video on my channel of me replacing it.
