Tim, I am not a supporting member but I have always seen mention of posters stating that just for importing pictures directly, without going through a hosting service it was worth the price of support.I found this sticky giving instructions for both types of memberships and it looks like it can be done. Could some supporting members chime in here.

And to the op again Good luck with your beautiful car.

Great thread! I bought my 2011 new off the showroom floor this past August at age 56. I never thought I would own one much less a brand new one. I haven't stopped grinning since.

I, in all honesty, read an article in a newspaper last year about the effects the owning of a sports car can have on men. Their testosterone levels were higher and they experienced increased levels of health. I am not making this up. So, if anyone asks you why you bought a 'vette just say you did it for your health. Oh and I agree with one of the posters above 57 is definitely NOT old.

Great thread! Very interesting! I can see I'm in good company with the Vette enthusiasts! Congrats on your 2008 CRM!!
I bought my first one a 2008 VR Coupe 3LT w/Z51 opt. in January 2011 with 10,436 miles
on her at the age of 68. It feels great! Wanted one as far back as high school, came close a couple of times. Wound up with a new 1963 Chevy Impala SS w/409 (400 hp) 4 spd, white exterior/black interior. Had over 100K on her when I traded for a '68 Olds Cutlass.
Marriage/family sometimes has that effect. Waited a long time finally happened. Haven't posted any pictures yet, but will in the future. 08 Vette now has 24,650.........and counting.

Old Guy:
God Bless you and High 5! Beautiful acquisition. I'm right behind you. Always promised myself as a kid that someday I'd own a Corvette. I loved them when I was young and still do. I toured the Corvette plant in St. Louis as a Boy Scout back in 1969. The tour was a hard gig to get back in those days because, let's just say that GM wasn't so focused on public relations and the UAW? not so friendly. But my dad, who was a cop, pulled some strings and got me and my brother and some of our Scout Troop a tour. I too remember thinking as a young man, "damn, why do all the Corvettes get wasted on those old guys". Then I went through a phase from age 20 to 50 where owning a Corvettes just wasn't fitting for someone of my socio-economic strata (though I still really wanted one). Now I'm 55 now and I'm getting my first CORVETTE. Funny what aging does to you: I want a darn Vette, have worked my *** off and I don't give a flying **** what anyone else thinks!
Congratulations again and let's work on that "Old Guy in the Vette" secret handshake!

I bought my first Vette (also my first car) a couple months ago at 23. Can I still be part of your club if I promise to always own and drive a Vette? Pretty please?
Congrats on the car!

I'm 77 (the double walking sticks in poker) and I am driving my 29th Vette. Had most of the oldies. 53 kit, 56 W/HT, 2 57's 1 had FI, 4sp, HT, and posi, 2 62's 1 FI, Big Tanker, Big Brake sold it after over 30 years at the 50th anniversary in Nashville. Too many others to list.

Bought my first one at age 60, almost 5 years ago.
I too waited my whole life, except I always dreamed of the P car.
Drove one and was disappointed so went with second choice of a corvette, 08 coupe.
Not a DD car and every drive is like it is all new for me.....ENJOY THE RIDE

This thread tells of some older corvette owners, but the best one was Chris from Callaway telling how they sold a supercharged Vet to a 97 year old buyer.

I just got my first vette 3 months ago and I just turned 21. It's always kinda weird to be walking around a vette show and know that you're the youngest one here who actually owns one of the cars. Enjoy your car!!! I know I sure have!

Most Vette owners are up in age, but we just had a 17 year old girl join our club. She has a 96 C4. I would like to see more youngins with Vettes.

As a non supporting member you have to post pictures from a web hosting service like Photobucket. Just load the pictures into yor PB account and when you want to post one click on the picture in Pb then copy the IMG code and just paste it in your post. You can go back & forth to post several pictures in the same post.

Thanks Jim, so it's worth the 25. a year in your opinion just for this feature.

49 for me. After enduring a life changing event brought upon me by a female wacko, I vowed that I'm number 1 now and to enjoy what time and money I was left with. Worked my butt off my whole life for someone who just took and took and was never happy. I have never regretted my vette buying decision.
