Oldest Person to ever buy new Corvette?
I work as a department manager for a grocery store in the Northeast. Today I had a woman, a tiny little thing maybe 5 feet tall. I was guessing about 75, come up to me and say "I heard you have a Corvette" I responded "Yes, I do" to which she replied "So do I" Now I'm thinking maybe she has some "vintage 50's or 60's Corvette and then she says "Mines a 2013, I traded in my Eclipse and paid cash for it." "Wow that's great!" I replied. We chatted for a bit about each others cars then I asked her if she had it with her. She said it was out in the parking lot. So after she went thru the checkout I followed her out into the parking lot to check out her ride. There parked carefully far away from any other vehicle was her pristine brand new black C6. First thing I noticed was a 3 inch seat cushion to help her see over the steering wheel. We chatted some more and she mentioned she recently had turned 90. NINETY!! WTF?? I said Ninety? good for you!! I mean Holy Crap! most people are considering giving up driving at that point (assuming they live to that point) if they live that long. Hey it gives me something to look foward to, in 31 more years I can buy a new C10.

Four years ago on the interstate in Manchester I was passing a beautiful A.O. ZO6.I looked over to give the Corvette wave. The couple had to be in their 80's and the car looked brand new.

Four years ago, we had a fella who was 97 years old walk into a Chevrolet dealership, wanting the fastest Corvette they had... He left in a Callaway SC Corvette Convertible (automatic).
A few mos. ago, we learned of the owner's passing. however, the Callaway is still in the family

A couple in our club are now 84, they bought their first 'vette (C5, used) at about 75 and bought a new 2006 coupe in 2007, at age 79.
I admire them greatly.

Older people who are still fairly agile can get in and out of the C5 and C6's pretty good. My mother who was 86 at the time when I had my C5 vert had no problems getting in or out of it.
Years ago however, I had a neighbor who was 90, came over to look at my '86 Corvette that I recently purchased. He wanted to sit behind the wheel.....he fell into the seat and it took about an hour to get him out of it. Those C4's were tough for entering and exiting for everyone.
