New vette... to me
just got an 2008 4lt vette 26k miles. im in love its a big upgrade coming from a 99 trans am. i love how it handles.
have a few questions. its an a6... where is the dip stick for the tranny?
it has the f55 pack. i notice in mornings when i am backing out garage and turing i hear some noise coming from rear end. its not loud but i hear it. once the car warms up it goes away. any1 know?
and i dont have an owner manual so is the dealer a good place to get 1 or ebay and such?

there is no dipstick for the auto trans, as explained in owners manual.
Check out this link for all info on C6 including all years owners manual
The clunk noise is also explained in link, as all other issues to date.
It's a great read

Regarding noise when backing up while cold in the morning...have the rear differential checked and most likely the fluid replaced.

Congrats.
Get yourself a battery tender and use it anytime the car is going to sit for more than a couple weeks (with a new battery). This is not an option.
If the rear end has had the TSB/fluid change already, you may just need to do some tight figure 8's to re-distribute the fluid/friction modifiers.
This is common and and is something I usually need to do every spring after the car has set for quite a while.
Enjoy, but keep in mind, this time of year with the cold weather, your summer tires are not all that sticky.
