Z-06 wheels on base model
Anyone know if you can fit Z06 wheels on a base model without fender flares or having to install the wide body kit? Next year I want to upgrade my brakes from Z-51's to the Z-06.
Thanks,.
Thanks,.

Fronts will fit fine, but will stick out just a tick, maybe a 1/2" or so. Rear is another story, will stick out considerably without a rear wide body. Another option is to tub the rear, just like the good old days, then rims with the right offset will stay within the fenderwell.

OEM Z06 wheels differ from the regular C6 wheels and they will stick out and by a fair amount. Here are the sizes and offsets:
C6 non Z06
Front 18 x 8.5, +56 mm offset
Rear 19 x 10, +79 mm offset
C6 Z06
front: 18 inch x 9.5 inch, +40 offset
rear: 19 inch x 12 inch, +59 offset
Here are a few photos I've collected from posts on the forum of OEM Z06 wheels and tires mounted on a non Z06 C6. The tires sticking out that far could crack your fenders if you bottom the suspension.

Thanks much for the illustrations, the pics are perfect for what I was looking for. I'm starting to track my car and though have a ways to go before I really need to upgrade, my goal next year or so is to upgrade the Z-51 brakes on my '08 to Z06 which also means a wheel upgrade and now I see I'll need the wide body kit too. OTOH, when my skills get there I may just upgrade to the GS model. I've been thinking about just going to the Z06, but this is also a part time commute car and one for taking long trips in. Nice to be able to take the top off as well as have an automatic for those times when I'm dead tired from working all night and headed home. The tuned A-6 seems to work well.
Thanks again for the replies and the pictures, very much appreciated.

Go Canes!
If you want the Z06 wheels, try house of wheels or other vendors for replica Z06 wheels to fit a base C6.

I bought the C6 in May - the way the one owner seller represented
it I assumed the Z06 wheels were factory. I want to go Z06 quarters in the back.
I am glad this thread came up - will my wheels with the 325 tire fill my Z06 wheel wells?
What do I have on the car?

The rims on your car did not come from the factory, they are reproductions to fit a C6 coupe. You need an 11-12 inch wide rim for the Z06 325/30/19 tires. The Z06 rear quarter panels flair out about 2", your rims are going to stay right where they are, so to answer your question, your rims will not fill the Z06 wheel wells. Need rims with the Z06 offset to move them out.
