Default Z06 offset wheels & size tires on your C6...

Has anyone just said the hell with it and slapped on a set of Z06 size wheel/tires with Z06 offsets on their non-widebody C6?

If so, do you have any pics?

The stock quarters and fenders comes with so much tire clearance as is and just wondering how ghetto fabulous it would or would not look...Remember, Z06 offsets.

Thanks!

Have a ball.

OEM Z06 wheels differ from the regular C6 wheels and they will stick out and by a fair amount. Here are the sizes and offsets:

C6 non Z06

Front 18 x 8.5, +56 mm offset
Rear 19 x 10, +79 mm offset

C6 Z06

front: 18 inch x 9.5 inch, +40 offset
rear: 19 inch x 12 inch, +59 offset

Here are a few photos I've collected from posts on the forum of OEM Z06 wheels and tires mounted on a non Z06 C6. The tires sticking out that far could crack your fenders if you bottom the suspension.

Talon90,

Thank you for sharing those visuals with us.
Those pictures you posted of the Z06 offsets were utterly disturbing!

Of course to each his own.....But wow! Thank Godness our vendors provide us with oem wide-bootie kits!

Maybe the thought process for these guys is "When I bottom out and crack the fenders, then I'll just replace them with Z06 fenders"

THAT is NOT a good look....

Those cars look like they need a lift kit and some nice big mudflaps.

I would run a narrower tire so the shoulder would tuck in. 305 rear and maybe 265 or 255 up front would look better.

If that happens they're back to replacing the wheels with actual Z06 offsets as the other ones will look awful also with the wider bodywork. Ka-ching!

These guys have already done that part (the wheels)...............

This thread is about guys with standard C6 coupes that have put OEM Z06 wheels with as you say "actual Z06 offsets" on their cars isn't it?

THis question comes up so often I'd suggest making your excellent reply and photos a "sticky". I have to confess someone on the NW Regional just put up a set of 2011 ZO6 wheels and GENII tires at a very reasonable price.

I was considering them myself when I happend to come across this thread. Very timely. Thanks

I still have the photo on a backup somewhere....it shows a stock body C6 with protruding tires. It's not just about the look...both quarter panels were cracked from hitting the tires.

You can run Z06 tires on a stock body C6 but you need the 'right' wheels with the proper offsets. CCW is well known for making wheels to do this.
