Most mileage out of OEM supercar tires
What was the most mileage you got out of the OEM supercar tires? I so far have 14,100 miles and there half way worn.

Just replaced mine at about 36,000. Replaced them with a set of Michelin GS2 ZP's. Very little road noise, better ride, and much stickier. Wear out the OEM Supercars as soon as possible.

Did I click on the Honda forum by mistake?? Maximizing tire wear isn't a priority to most vette drivers.....Don't try and make your tires last longer....take your car out and have Fun with it.

I am a new Z51 owner, and I like the LOOK of the tires,,, so many other tires make the car look dumpy IMO. I have to see how the performance is though. I think the GY's look sharp...

Anecdotally, when I was test driving Z51s a few years ago, it seemed like the three I drove had far greater wear than the F55s I tested, given similar mileage. I'm sure, like any tires, it all depends on the driver, his habits, the car they are on, and environmental factors.

A friend replaced his front Z51 Supercar tire at about 30k, the rears have nearly 35k miles and still 3/32" or more tread remaining.
Me, I get about 20k out of a set. Fronts wear out first but rears are pretty far gone by then also.

12000 miles and the rears are pretty well worn for the obvious reasons, but the front still have 35 percent probably. I'm going to try to put another 2k miles on them before the rainy season and then I have a set of yokohamas stacked up in the garage I really want to try out. I have also had two 15 minute track sessions on this set as well.
I could see a tea-totler getting 18-20k out of the Z51 supercars, but I think 15k would be about average. If your rears last as long as your front tires, you are not pushing the loud pedal to the floor often enough.

I had to replace my Z51 SC tires when they were at 32K miles. Discovered the insides of the fronts were trashed badly thanks to the factory alignment. I put on Kumos at the time and they are still on with 66k miles on them and although they'll need replacing next spring or so, they are still good.

supercar Tire wear
I changed the air pressure in all four tires to 33lbs to give more ceven wear across the tire face.
Will go to michelin sport A/S ZP with 500 thread wear. Tires are getting way expensive and these should last double the GY supercar's.
Hope this helps.
