I am looking for the thread someone posted with step by step pictures of installing the HUD via cutting the A/C duct. I simply can't find it. Can anyone post that please? I'd drive 500 miles for some assistance on doing this! Scared to death!

I used C6TOGO's instructions (except that I used a Weller solder gun with a cutting tip to cut the duct) and had perfect results. Note that there are TWO ducts behind the instrument panel cluster. The one you need to cut is the large flat one at the very top of, and directly behind, the cluster. The smaller round one located at the lower center behind the cluster is the defrost vent tube for the driver side door window. You just disconnect this one and pull it out; re-installing it after you secure the HUD into position behind it.

jcmarathon, its really not that hard. Where are you located? I don't mind helping. The thing I'm pointing to in the picture is the top ac duct.
