In car camera mount question, can anyone help ?
I know I have seen an in car camera mount that mounts right to the seat but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone know who makes one or where to find them ? Trying to hold the camera steady by hand (passenger) is impossible. We love taking the in car videos and this would help. Thanks in advance for any input.

This should be a good start. I can't find the thread C6Dude did on the camera mounts but you should be able to find it with enough search time , maybe search for all threads in his name. I think it was not too long before he posted this one. Anyway, good luck and enjoy the vids.

I mounted a lipstick camera on what was my onstar antenna. Video is a test run of the system. The lipstick camera connects to my video camera where the recording actually takes place. The microphone was in the center glove box.

Okay, that's nice. Is the low quality due to photobucket, the upload, or the lipstick cam? Thanks.

The actual quality of the videotape is outstanding. The low quality of the web link is all about the major compression that I did to it.
Correction: Let's say the picture quality is pretty good not outstanding. The lipstick camera does add some picture loss but I think it makes up for it in light weight and therefore picture stability. The video is rock solid under hard cornering and hard braking.

I feel like I'm taking over the OP's thread. Not intended, just interested in the same info.

Here is my set-up, this is an alternative to bullit cams and shoots amazing video..it's a perfect match for uploading to youtube and other sites..all under $280
This is my set up, I have it right on the dash, it captures it from the drivers side and captures the HUD speed......most vids you cant tell how fast/slow you are driving, with the HUD in the video gives you a much better perception.
the mount, MONSTER POD

in colder weather, turn up the heat (windshield) and the monster pod will hold it nice
The camera, CASIO EXILIM CARD EX-S770
http://www.casio.com/products/Camera...Card/EX-S770BE
Check out the specs, excellent camera AND, in movie mode, it shoots in wide screen & has an image stabilization mode.
with a 2 Gig card, I can make a one hour movie
I have many driving vids........to bad I can't post them here (PM if interested)
