No, the traction control harness was connected to the button on the console between the shifter and the glove box.
I disconnected that one... no problem.
This black plug was actually in the dash tucked behind the ashtray.
Once i removed the console and dash cover, I saw the black plug in there and I can not see the other end of the plug it would connect to in the dash.
Any ideas
(i figured the gray was the cigarette lighter, but wasnt 100% sure)

there are four plugs found in this area
1 ) the grey plug in this shot for the ashtray cigarette lighter
2 ) a gray two prong plug for the console 12V connection ( like a cigarette lighter ) found inside the console
3 ) is that black plug shown in this photo is for the TC control ( 3 prong )
4) a black four prong plug for the gas cap door. ( goes under the console ) just below the gas door switch found inside the console

The gas door switch has been relocated, but it was relocated at the switch in the center console glove box, not the dash.
The black plug with the three wire is come out from behind the ashtray under the a/c control and it has three female ends attched to a orange, white, and blue wire.
The thing is when I pulled this open, I just saw the plug sitting there not attached to anything and I dont see where it would plug into.
I was hoping someone could tell me what it was for and where it plugs into (like an actual picture of where)
Not sure if this matters, but the car is a 99
Thanks!!

Not that this helps, but I just had my center area out to put a new radio in my 99 auto,, and I don't recall seeing anything like that , sure of it, or I would have been wondering as well.

so where in the dash will the plug before this?
I have looked an can not see where it plugs into
it came from in the dash and it short enough to only plug into something in the dash or buried behind it
given, I believe my TC works.
is that what the yaw sensor is for? Traction control?

Yaw rate sensor is for active handling. You should also have the accelerometer in a bump under the carpet by the tunnel right behind the front inner bolt of the passenger seat. You can feel it under the carpet or the bump is hollow it it's not there.
Apparently, this site is retarded and replaces a google link with the LMGTFY link, which doesn't work for images.
Go to Google images and look up - site:forums.corvetteforum.com corvette c5 yaw rate sensor
Or try here http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1578252533-post13.html
