what size hose is it?

You can grind down the heads of the valley bolts or purchase new ones from SEARS that have a much shorter head.

As for the MAP sensor:

The kit looks like it has a block off for the rear port in the FAST, is this correct?

I fixed the MAP problem with $6 worth of stuff from Lowes.

yes, I had one then sold it for a cheaper fix. It has you block off the rear, extend the wiring harness, then drill a new hole in the top of the FAST and it holds the map in with the metal bracket and bolt. The kit I bought looked really nice (anodized red), but I deemed it an uneccessary $80.
