Default Zo6 50th anniversary price question?

A freind of mine is offering to sell me his 50th Anniversary (not Z16) 03 Z06 with 15,000 Miles for $34000.00. Car looks to be very well kept.

I was wondering if this is a good price ...average price, or a really good price .

I am thinking about picking it up if its a better than average price.

Chuck

That's not too bad especially if you know the history and it's a buddy's car.

But for comparison, I'm selling mine that has only 2,500 miles for $36,000. It's a 2003 Z06 w/ chromes and 100% stock. Halltech Stinger R intake I'm selling separately for $200 which is still new in the box.

Here's my thread,

Thanks,
Sam

I have been watching the market on Zo6's lately and I would say that price is ok..A great deal would be around 31k..Which I have seen a couple with that type of mileage go for on ebay..Since it is your buddies car,a lot depends on how he took care of it and the overall condition..I would offer him 32k and see what he says..Ease of transaction for the both of you is worth someting as well..

Hot of the press curtiesy of vette 100
ebay ave for sept 10,001-15,000mi 4 cars sold ave price 30,683.00
15001-20000 2 cars sold ave price 31,256.00
No mention of mods etc.
But would say that 31500- 32500 would be fair price in current market.

Default 03 Z06

I'd go with the Z06 in Chicago with 2,500 miles which is like a brand new car for $2,000 more than your buddies and 1/6 the miles. 15,000 miles is a lot for an 03 Z06. However, you are the best judge of your friend's driving habits and how he takes care of a car. Good luck!

My trade-in price for an '03 Anniversary Red coupe with 42,650 miles was $29,000. Price for the C6 was MSRP with or without my trade.

I must not be catching the deals...
I can not find a 03 Z06 w/ less than 15K miles on her that I keep hearing about in the $32K price range, I have even seen people claim $34-36K for a 04 Z06, where are these deals ?
At those prices, I am ready to seriously consider one.

I just saw a 04 Z06 on Ebay w/ 4k miles, that did not meet reserve for just under $38K--
Are these low prices auction prices ?

Yes, I have full access to all of the Manheim auction results so let me give you a sample.

Here's what recent 2004 Z06's went for at the auction since you were kinda asking about auction prices above -- sorted by date ascending. Please note that these prices do not include auction fees (may be around $300+, prep, transportation, advertising, owner's set fee, ad infinitum). So, the last one you see below shows 2004 Z06 "went" for $38,250 at auction. However by the time you put all of it the dealer probably has around $39,000 in it. So, must sell it for $40,000 to stay profitable but will try to sell it for much more. You know the game.

09/08/04 KC Regular $38,000 3,289 Avg BLUE 8G 6 Yes
09/08/04 SO CAL $43,500 4,587 Above SILVER 8G 6 Yes
09/09/04 DETROIT $36,200 5,202 Avg SILVER 8G 6 Yes
09/20/04 FAAO $37,500 10 Avg BLUE 8G 6 Yes
09/21/04 DALLAS $36,800 1,389 Avg RED 8G 6 Yes
09/24/04 LAUD/MIA Regular $37,200 6,739 Avg BLACK 8G 6 Yes
09/29/04 DENVER Lease $38,250 1,178 Avg BLUE 8G 6 Yes

Let me know if you guys want more of these prices. But they are auction prices and 99.9% of the times you won't get the real deal of the pedigree behind the vehicle. That's why I would recommend a private buyer in 99.9% of the cases but that's just my take on it.

And yes, I was in the business for many years but since curbed it drastically -- primarily because of conflicts with real full time job and family constraints that a side business puts on you.

But like I said, I can publish more info if you like FWIW.

Thanks,
2003_Z06_Chicago
