Default C5 Z06 4Sale but she may be in bad shape

some of you may know me from discussing my fathers Z06 and it's now on Cars.com for sale if anyone is interested. I never really found out what is wrong with the vehicle and all I know is that when it started sputtering and dying at lights my father decided to take her off the road and put her in storage and this was almost 3 years ago. 1 year ago the car was started successfully but not driven. This is the extent of my knowledge as to the condition of the vehicle and there is some more info in the Cars.com add.

The car could be in a lot better shape than I know or it could be in pretty bad shape. I just don't know but he wants it sold and it could be someones very lucky day perhaps...

if this link does not work you may find my fathers Corvette by filtering 2003 Z06 asking $15K

I've seen C5Z's with similar mileage that can drive across country without any issues sell for right at 14-15k. You may see offers somewhere under this..

I have 10k if your interested. With that mileage plus unknown issues, that's the best I'd be willing to go.

UPDATE:

guy came buy the other day to take a look at the Z06. He was able to jump start the vehicle and it ran but did have trouble staying running. He brought with him his own code reading computer. He told me that he did not get back any error codes which is good but we were all bewildered as to why there were not codes to explain why the engine is having trouble running.

I know this is not a tech thread and I am sorry to blow it up, but sounds like it could be some bad gas or a vacuum leak. Best of luck with the sale!

Could be as simple as a clogged catalytic converter. Seen it a million times.

Could be the IAT sensor on the air bridge. The housing on mine was cracked once...kept dying at lights too...and ran like sh*t.

You don't need a code scanner, you can pull codes yourself.

http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...-codes-c5.html

write down all the codes with "C" current or "H" history. This may help us in determining some of the cause.

Good luck!
