We need to get a moderator in here. There are plenty of C5's for under 10k. If you dont have a car or a lead to post, get out of this thread!
The Corvette has excellent resale value but they are dipping into the less than 10k range on some cars. Good Luck to the OP in his search.

I'd guess anything under $10K will have high miles and will be in need of a lot of work/maintence most people won't be expecting.
If the tires are shot, replacing a set is $1K.
Add in trans, diff, clutch, break, coolant , power steering fluids and you've added more $$$.
If it needs breaks, belts, suspension, maybe the one of the power windows is out, maybe the clutch needs replacing, maybe the window wiper motor isn't working $$$$$$ the list goes on.
Be aware of what you are getting into... you may end up spending way more on an un maintained car than buying one already maintained.
