FS Silver 1998 Coupe. $7,900, Z51, Auto, Clean, runs great, 199k miles - Denver, CO
We have a new baby so the Corvette isn't getting much use. I really hate to sell it but I don't like taking up a garage spot and paying insurance for a car that isn't being used. I originally listed the car for $9,200 last October and have only driven it 3k miles since then.
I've owned this Covette since 2003 when it had about 80k miles. I'm the 2nd owner and it's been an excellent car that has had very few
issues. Runs great.
Details:
Location: Denver CO Area
$7,900
199k miles
Always garaged
Clean title in hand
Exterior: Silver - great shape except for the usual rock chips on the front bumper and rocker area. Not noticeable from a normal
viewing distance
Interior: Black - good shape except for tear in drivers sear side bolster, some delamination vinyl on armrest part of door panels
Wheels: Chrome 2000+, also have stock wagon wheels.
Transparent top - some pealing on passenger side.
Automatic Transmission
Differential - 3.15
Z51 Suspension, upgraded to Bilstein Sport shocks.
Active Handling (Stability control)
Sport Seats
Electronic climate control (AC works great)
Memory package
Performance mods: stock except for Zip-Tie mod with K&N air filter. Have stock airbox cover.
Upgraded stereo, Eclipse head unit, Boston Acoustic Pro Series speakers, PPI amplifiers. Have full factory stereo with 12 disc changer
in box. Easy to convert back to stock.
Performance mods: stock except for Zip-Tie mod with K&N air filter. Have stock airbox cover.
Tires: Newer Hankook Ventus V12
Windshield has a crack, but I will have that replaced before the car is sold.

Thanks! Lots of washing and Zaino over the years.
The silver thing by the battery is a fuse holder for the stereo.
The TPMS is still functional and works great. It saved me last summer when I had a puncture in a rear tire going down the highway. It gave me enough warning to take the first exit, find a parking lot and put a plug in it until I could get a proper repair.

Price reduced!
Bringing back my old thread with a price reduced to $7,900. Since we had a baby the Vette isn't getting driven enough to justify keeping it around.

there are a couple things that i just know potential buyers are wondering
1. how much oil does it burn
2. is the transmission acting up, have you done frequent fluid changes since you've owned it, and does the ebcm still work
that car is in amazing condition for the mileage

1. The car doesn't burn any oil, I've never had to add oil between changes.
2. The transmission works great, the fluid gets changed about every 40k miles.
3. No issues with the EBCM or any other electrical issues. The only electrical issues I've ever had on the car was with the HVAC display being dim, that was fixed years ago and has worked fine since. Also had a bad ground shortly after I bought the car, where it wouldn't start. The fix was as simple as cleaning the ground. No problems since.
4. A few more notes about the car... The balancer has a bit of wobble, and it always has since I've owned the car. It is not any worse now than when I bought the car.
Also with the windows up and on coast down, you can hear a little whine from the diff. It's done that for as long as I can remember. Back when the car had around 90k miles it had a leaky side cover on the diff that was repaired. I have been running Amsoil in the diff since then and have had no leaks.
