Damsell in distress ... C4 '92 chassis wiring
Hello Everyone ... HHHEEEELLLLPPPP!!!
I previous posted regarding replacement of my heater core. I'm a chick and I managed to remove/replace my heater core with minimal frustration but now I'm trying to get the wiring back in correctly and its really a PITA. I drive a little red cutie '92 C4 LT1 and I'm really tired of sitting in the garage staring at it hoping its gonna fix itself ...
In the meantime, I hooked all the in-dash wiring up but there were a couple of connections that I was unable to locate the other side for. So....I took everything apart AGAIN and now me and my BFF are bound and determined to get it back on the road ASAP so we be cruisin before summer is gone ... (that would be us if we can figure this S*** out!!!)
So ... anyone out there might have either ACTUAL PICTURES of what the IP harness would look like (in dash passenger side) OR when it's correctly put together (wired) OR something that would tell me which connector goes to what and whether or not it actually has a match.
I do know that one of the mismatched wires went to my glovebox light. WE FIGURED THAT OUT ALL ON OUR OWNSY!!!!
I ordered a Helms but for some reason I never got it and at this point im way to frustrated to bother looking any further.
We pretty much have it dialed in but there are 3 connectors that I have no clue where they go or what they are for.
If anyone can help or steer me in the right direction where i might find this information (I can even take pictures of the wires that I can't figure out and post) BUT ... quite frankly Im started to get a little aggrivated (my girl says Im losin it) and about ready to BANG ... BANG ... SHOOT EM UP if ya know what I mean ... AND I DONT WANT IT TO BE MY GIRL!!!!
Any help, assistance, commiseration, etc. is welcomed and appreciated.
If I can figure this out anything else should be a piece of cake!!!!

Most GM connectors in wire harnesses will only match up with one other connector. The length of the harness also limits what can be hooked up to what.
If you can post some pics of the connectors and areas in question, I think I might be able to help.
I know there are a lot of wires. Can be intimidating. You are almost there. Do not lose heart!

you must upload pictures to a host site like www.Photobucket.com
after you do that, you add the link path into the text box in CF to post.

Get yourself the manual
The C4's changed so much over the years, there's a lot a year specific things going on under the dash.
The manual is really the only way to tell.

Follow this link:

Look at the middle picture in the first post.
I believe your connector (blue-gray wires w/ black connector) is connected to a white connector.
Above the "05" of the date in the picture: 05/02/2010
Hope this helps!

org and black wire is usually 12volts applied when the key is turned on.
Does anything not work ? when you turn the key on ?
to direct link a pic (viewable) you must post the link like you did,
but add the following before the link [IMG]website
and this after the link website[/IMG]

If everything works then don't worry about it. It is not uncommon for the wiring harness to have extra pigtails for accessories not installed on your car. It was cheaper to make one generic harness than to have dozens of them at the assembly factory.
