Default PKE troubles

I have a '95 convertible with a PKE system that works intermittently. This is a recent development as it has been working well prior to this. The battery is only 2 months old, so I don't suspect that. The button release on the fob works, but the proximity feature is not working consistantly as I approach or leave the car.

It may be relevant that I have also started to have problems with the radio feature of turning off after the door is opened. It is staying on. These two problems did not develop at the same time, but within 1 - 2 weeks of each other.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Brian

Stay tuned for a post I'll have up shortly discussing how to fix a few weird problems. Good news is that it may not cost you one cent...

The radio/door problem is caused by the switch in the side of the door panel sticking. Just spray some WD40/silicone spray lube in it and the switch spring should release fully, shutting off the radio.

Thanks, I'll try the WD-40 trick.
