Sadly enough that's basically what I've done. My dad gave me his 85 which was in about $2000 condition. I now have about $15000 into it, mostly restoration and light modifications. But it's pretty close to a new c4.

I'd get an agreed value insurance. Sure would suck someone wreck into it and loose all that investment.

The car has left my neighborhood less than 6 times as of today in my 3 years of ownership. Agreed value insurance is the first thing on the list this coming week so I can start driving it around some, now that it is for the most part done and streetworthy.
