Have a 1989 corvette basic stock with a cat back exhaust and cold air induction.the car needs injectors.would accel 24lbs injectors be better than the 21 lbs injectors

Just replaced my injectors
I just replaced my injectors on my '87 with Accels (same sizes as original) and what an impressive performance notice afterward. The idle is much smoother, along with the acceleration. The design upgrades of the injectors from back in 1987 till now are quite impressive. I also replaced the fuel filter, spark plug wires, and did a complete tuneup.
You'll like the difference from this upgrade. I would suggest staying with the same injector size as you currently have now. My feeling is that you will not gain any noticeable performance gain in going to a larger nozzle size based on your motor description. Bigger is no better with fuel delivery contrary to what many others believe. If you have different heads, a bigger cam, and modified exhaust then it would most likely make sense to go up a size.
There are many posts here about this issue (Use the advanced search feature). After I did this change on my '87, it now runs better than new. Best investment in the 8 years of happy ownership.
Best of luck.

I think 24 lb injectors are for the LT1. My 89 used 21.5 lb injectors, 24lb injector is going to put out to much fuel and I don't know if the ECM can correct for that much difference ..WW

a few points. The Bosch are guaranteed unconditionally for 3 years. Accells are only warrantied for factory defects. New accells are not flow matched. Ours are. The accells are 21 lbs not 22 as the stock injectors. both will perform well and make your car run alot better. The Bosch has a far superior spray pattern for much better atomization because of the 4 hole discharge plate versus the pencil pattern of the accell.
