Default msd 6al-2 igniton placement for 1972?

Where is the best place to mount my ignition box? Anyone have pics of theirs installed? I'm banging my head against the wall trying to find the best place. I've read that a lot of people put it in the passenger fender but it doesn't seem like it fits flush. I have a 350 with factory air.

Mine sits flush in the passenger fender well. Gets air to it and haven't had issues in the last 8 years. People have also put them behind the pass side glovebox.

Couple old threads that have pics for you.

the best location is the one with the least heat and vibration.mine has been in the passenger dash for 3 years with no issues.it's located where the radios power transistor used to sit.

Passenger fender, sits on 4 spacers so you can mount on the inner curved surface. 4 years, no issues whatsoever.

Thanks for the links. I will have to look at the inner passenger fender well again. It seems like the common place.
