Default Help Me Identify This Plug

Hi

I am fitting a new engine wiring harness to my 71 with Auto and a/c.

On the drivers side between the power booster and wiper motor are mounted the 2 CEC relays but there is also another plug that comes out of the harness at the same point.

The one I am trying to identity has an orange and a tan wire going into the plug.

Craig

Ok It just hit me, its the auto transmission kickdown plug from the accelerator pedal.

But how do I get the wires through the new firewall grommet.

You un-pin them.. if you look at the terminal on the inside.. you'll see a section sticking upward. This is what holds the terminal in the plastic connector. Take a small thin screw driver and push inward and it will release.

I have a pic of this somewhere.. hold on. I can't find it.. I'll keep looking.

OK.. remembered where it was at.. go to this link..

http://willcoxcorvette.com/repairand...lp.php?hID=313

Ignore what it says its for and click on supporting document.

Once open go to page 8 and you'll see instructions on how to un-pin the wire from the connector... Real easy..
