Good luck finding fiero seats. I looked high and low with lots of dead ends. Ended up with 2002 corvette seats in my 81

All the pictures of Fiero seats installed in Vettes, and no pictures of them folded forward....

How far forward do the Fiero seats fold to access the rear storage area? Is it hard to put the tops in the back?

Also-How much higher do the Fiero seats sit than the factory seats? Thinking about replacing my 78-82 seats with Fiero, but can't afford to sit higher. I need all the head room possible.

I test fitted some Fiero seats in my '76. They did not fold as far foward as the stock seats - hit either the WS frame or the dash. I don't recall which. It's been a few years. Seats were a freebe from my Fiero (all things Pontiac) buddy. He has 2 Fieros and a Trans-Am.

I found a set of '79 C3 leather seats for a good price, and that is what I installed.

Thanks for the reply. I've got a nice set of 78-82 style now with recently replaced vinyl covers, but want something a bit more comfortable for longer drives and more custom looking. My only concern with the fiero seats is being able to put the tops in the storage area if the seats don't fold forward far enough....

I have a question regarding putting the Fiero seats in my vette, do I mount the seats to the brackets, then put in my car......or mount the brackets into the car, then attach the seats to the brackets? I'm stumped!

I fully agree that MrMikes look better and would like to have bought a pair.

However, I made my decision based on two factors.

Texas heat and Price. The covers I went with are a web mesh and allow air to flow between which is nice in my non a/c car. They were also only $149 (extra for the logo) and very easy to install. 10 minutes per seat.

I know they are not the same fit and look. I am just posting the info so you can see other options.

MrMikes look awesome.

When the seats fold forward they go to about an 11 O'clock angle. They wont touch the steering wheel or even close.

I used the corvette tracks and mounted them to the fiero seats. Even the slimest bracket will raise you an inch or so.

So why the Fiero seats?
Availability?
Ease of install?
Better comfort?

Have original good condition stock seats, slightly narrow and uncomfortable , but why Fiero ?

Because they are comfortable and are narrow enough to fit in a C3.
