Does anybody have any pictures, drawings, or diagrams of a rotisserie for a corvette. I have the body off and just for easier access to everything I would like to place it on a fiberglass rotisserie. I am the do it your self type so I attempting to build one and just thought seeing pictures may give me new ideas. Any extra advice would also be appreciated.
I dont think I have seen anything like a rotisserie for a vette body. I have seen them on a home made dolly both here and some web sites. Dont know if searching for that will help ya or not. I would think a vette body would need more support than a rotisserie could give.

They come to all of the big car shows and do offer a show discount. We picked up this body dolly at Carlisle last year. It's not inexpensive, but if you're in the business it is absolutely invaluable. It is called the Substitute Frame Cart and is superb.
The shop has a couple that they have built in the past, but this one beats them all hands down. The car can be pushed around by one person and everyone is very happy with it. Auto Twirler also offers a device called the Auto Twirler Plus that you can mount this Frame Cart in and then twirl the body and cart together.
After seeing it at Carlisle we first thought about just taking some pictures and building one. That evening we ran some numbers and realized we probably couldn't build it any cheaper and are also looking at buying another one.
I made mine out of the two engine stands to use on the frame. Really a cheap way to go. each engine stand is rated at 2000 lb. they were 100.00 each at Harbor Freight. It works great on the frame. I plan on making some cross rails that are adjustable so they can be mounted under the rocker channels and bolt to where the body mounts go through. I will also have to come up with a way I can have access to the rocker channels by mounting to the body directly. I was thinking along the lines of going through the seat belt mounts and firewall for that part of the work. I dont know how soon you need it but I will share any ideas I come up with when the time comes. i think Im a few months out on starting the body though.
This is an old thread but good info. My question is if you need to replace the body mounts on the body, how do you do that is it is mounted on a rotisserie or a stand? Mine will need to be replaced when I take the body off.
I built one that has a squared and true frame rack that the rotisserie attaches to. It's adjustable for different attachment points for different vehicles.
For uni bodies it keeps the body from torquing during the turning process or welding in new sheet metal.
Thw rotating points are bearing operated. The inner and outer wheel bearings from a donor vehicle. I'm not to sure I would turn a Vette up side down hanging by bolt head and washers.
