Galvanized Frame !! Here it is sitting at the Galvanizers yard.

Here is where Im at TODAY. I made a rotisierre this weekend out of the engine stands from Harbor Freight. Im hoping to rework it to use it for the body too. If not I may have a couple engine stands for sale soon. It has to be a whole lot easier to work on and paint this way. Still have lots of prep work even with the galvanizing. PPG rep came by today and went over the products I need to use to prime and paint the frame.

Someone's been busy. Everything looks very good. You have done a fine job repairing the frame.

These are the heavy duty engine stands with 2000 lb capacity each for 99.00. They have other ones with 750 lb each for 59.00 and 500 lb each for 39.00. Any of those would work too. Its still a cheap way to go and still get some use out of them when youre done.

I built the drain out of a stainless steel box and it is deeper than the pipe outlet by about 2" or so. It wasnt my idea, a friend suggested it and Im sure glad he did. Ive been able to get lots of things out of those drains.

Alan, Thanks, I was planning on asking you tons of questions as I go. You seem to be knowledgeable on the C3s. There seems to be something new I run into each day and need advice on. I guess thats the challenge though. Ned

What brand lift do you have? I cant make my mind up. 2 post or 4 post. 2 looks more universal.

Stallion Automotive. Its been great really. I think it was 2700.00 6 years ago. I think theyre even less now though. It is a 9000 lb capacity, lifts 6'. you need a 12'-6" ceiling for the over head crossbar then you wont have a plate on the floor to drive over. I only have 12'-0" so I had to get this style. I would definately get the 2 post style. Its much more versatile. Makes it nice to pull wheels etc.
