One for the Ausys. Who do you use for shipping parts to Ausy. Seems a lot of choice but not to many good reviews.

I have shipped small parts up to 50 lbs using USPS. As long as they are packaged tightly, they make it. I have shipped differentials & trailing arms as well and those require an exporter. Attention to the customs dept requirements for wood is important. Those were over 130lbs, and I had my customers setup an account using their choice of exporter, so I only shipped to them in the USA. Once the exporter received the crate or box, I was out of the loop.

I use Parcel ABC, they are based in London.
and have them ship via DHL. I pay a company in London, who then contracts DHL to pick up parts in Pennsylvania, and deliver to me on the Sunshine Coast.
A certain Corvette supplier with a fabulous reputation is in Pennsylvania, and are happy to just slap a label on a box for me.
I save hundreds.
Had a pair of half shafts sent over recently. Fairly heavy. Had them in 4 days.
I've used Parcel ABC a few times. Big savings.

Depends on how big the parts are , small stuff USPS were the best ,they would partner with Aus-post and your items come with the Aus-post system.

stay well away from UPS, they were always super expensive compared to USPS

but now days its all ridiculously expensive. I would try what Doc says first , if its big.

My diff from Gary cost me over $500 aus (Gov. fees! ) from Los Angeles to Perth, and that was years ago. With a guy that used to bring containers over regularly.

I've used Parcel ABC with both large and heavy, and smaller parcels. Ship through DHL at about 1/3rd the price as if I booked through DHL directly. HUGE savings on packages big or small. Usually takes them a day or day and a half to email the shipping label to the seller. They need a printer, most people have a printer nowadays. They print a label. Slap it on the box. A man shows up the next day, so perhaps it a day or 2 slower. But hundreds cheaper. And yes, cheaper than the post.
The key is, A seller that will work with you on shipping. Some will only ship with their shippers. Not cool. (Zip Corvette). Others are happy to work with you if you explain that you can arrange shipping from your end and after they box up your order, all they need to do is print a shipping label and slap it on the box. (Bairs Corvettes).

Over the years I have used vender direct, consolidations by Shipito and multi parcel via VPost.

Consolidations work well and you can have items delivered to a US address over many months then ship as one consolidated package. They can also remove invoices, add bubble wrap etc etc.

Agree that prices have gone up heaps in last few years but USPS still has some reasonable options, along with DHL. It can vary from month to month.

Doc’s ABC option sounds interesting for single packages.
