1970 LT-1 rescue
Ok, so I'm now a 2 Vette owner. I had a thread going about how to spot an original LT-1, and with your help I made this purchase.
It is an LT-1. The block has the correct codes, and the serial number on the pad match the car. After that not a whole lot of LT-1 left, but its a good start I think. The exhaust and intake manifolds are gone. The TI ignition is gone. The AIR is gone. It has a Holly, but I am not sure if its the original or if its correct. Ill check the numbers tomorrow when I see it again. It doesnt run, but thats mostly because Bubba crossed some of the plug wires a couple of years ago, couldnt figure out how to fix it, and walked away. It has been sitting for 14 months, and the carb is all full of gunk. 45K miles. It needs some work for sure, but I dont think anything is too far gone. As per the rules, here are a few pics. More in my garage.

Hi C12,
Looks like you've made a very nice discovery. The 70 LT-! certainly is a terrific car.
You may want to contact Drew Papsun, (keeper of all things related to LT-! data), with your VIN and other info. You may have a car not in his survey yet, or he may be able to tell you a little about your car's history.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan

Worthy project. The LT1 at WOT sounds amazing.
This air cleaner might be of interest to you. I like helping people spend their money.

Thanks for the replys guys. I actually have the stock air cleaner and cover. One of the few stock parts that were still around. I tried to get it running yesterday, but I am not getting any fuel to the carb. When I looked at the car 10 days ago we had fuel coming up no prob, but now nothing. My fuel filter is in a clear plastic case, and that is not filling with fuel either. My guess is that there is debris in the line, but more likely the fuel pump gave up the ghost.
I am going to drain the tank next week and do a vacuum test on the pump, and make sure the lines are clear. Any other suggestions? Also what should / can I do with the old gas?
