    Hi Drew;
I had my 70 LT1 judged, and was penalized for not having a front license plate bracket. I have the correct front center grill, and thought that was OK. I was also penalized for the wrong color oil filter. I have a re, white, and blue, filter but the judge said it should have black lettering.
Could you please offer an opinion on these two items?
    Thanks
    Larry

    Hi Drew,
I been told you are collecting info of the early LT-1 vette's so I figured I would forward the info on my latest corvette I just got . It is a 1970 Lt-1 convertible cortez silver with deluxe black int. and AM FM radio with soft top and I just bought a hard top for when I get it repainted, these are the only options. There is no power brakes or steering the car has 89,243 miles on her and the last registered owner who's name is still on the title is ( Terry Lee Gilbert in Hesperia , Mich )
Vin is ( 194670S401852 ) If you need anymore info feel free to contact me .
    Thank's

    Hi Drew,

I recently purchased a '70 LT-1, VIN 194670S414221. Some guys in the Forum said you are very knowledgeable about LT-1s so I thought you could possibly help me.

The Odometer shows about 36,500 miles which based on the condition of the original interior is believable. The car came from the Northeast, NY/PA area. I have many receipts for lots of work done, but no real documentation. It has all the LT-1 stuff, Tach, fuel line, carb, intake, matching VIN, CTK code, ect.

Are you familiar with this car or know anything about who previously owned it. It came with a NY registration slip, not a title, which is all that is required in NY.

Thank you for any help you can provide me in documenting this LT-1 Convertible.

I tried to PM, but your inbox is full.

    Hi, Drew,

As I understand, you have compiled a bulk of data on the '70-'72 ZR-1/LT-1 cars, and possible the '71 ZR-2s.

I've been attempting to assemble that info myself after I lost a good chunk of such data in a hard drive crash a few years ago.

How much of that ZR-1/ZR-2 data would you be willing to share? I'd be as discrete as you instruct me to be.

I'm a hobbyist/enthusiast with no intent for fraud or misrepresentation. Ultimately, I intend to purchase some of these cars, but I'd like to know which ones have been documented and legitimately accounted for.

Thanks you in advance for any information or assistance. Your efforts are greatly appreciated in registering the provenance of these significant pieces of Corvette history.
