I did download one update to the Torque app but the Track Recorder plug in is current. No opportunity to test yet.

I am in the process of downloading Harry's Lap Timer Petrolhead for Android, it does the same thing (video/data). If Torque/Track Recorder acts up next time it gets the trash bin.
I am learning using hlt now.

I moved from Trackmaster to RaceChrono for droid. I like RaceChrono so far. Have not tried Harry's. Maybe it's just me but every iPhone vid I've seen using Harry's doesn't look good. Data looks way off from what I am seeing on the screen, like the data is lagging the video or something.

Nothing wrong with that. Which obd2 reader do you use?

I've had the chinese ELM327 mini for only about 6 months. 2 track days so far. so far so good.

For track vids I also use a bluetooth Qstarz external GPS and RaceChrono app on my HTC Droid.

I've used a cheap Elm327 from ebay along with Torque for Android for a couple years now and never had any issues with it

I tried to get Harry's to work today during a short trip on the street and came up empty. After fiddling around finally figured how to get it to talk to OBD II via Bluetooth but the rest of it remains a mystery, and it didn't record anything (maybe I missed a manual start button).

I can tell it's designed for an Apple, cuz I can't figure out how it works

You go to the timer menu (three dots upper right) and press video. Video will start when you (GPS) passes a start trigger that you have set.

Or there is a screen where you manually press video on.

Welcome to the learning curve.

Above comment is true, cannot get oil temp. Seems no one else has been able to either via OBD in a c5.

Nice driving in your videos!

I use Harry's lap timer app with my iPhone, along with a BT GPS receiver, and bought the ELM327 (shipping took forever) and my app says that it updates to slow to be of any use. Did you find its response time an issue?

Does anyone know the PID for diff temperature? The DIC will give you a diff warning if you get around 275 so it must know the temp. The question is, is it a go/nogo type of sensor or does the car know the temp and can we get it to display that?

There's no sensor in the diff on a C5. Only trans.
