Default Need advice on Speedo/Tach guage overlay install.

Thinking about picking up a set of speedo/tach guage overlays for my 2005 C6 off of Ebay.

Seller says gauge cluster removal and installation of these overlays is not very difficult.

Seller said there is a chance the gauge needles could break off during install but that it is not difficult to repair.

Did a search and can't find anything on the Forum regarding gauge overlay installation/success in the C6 section.

Can someone provide me insight before I buy these gauge overlays?

i've done a few of these, not on vettes but other vehicles I've owned, one tool the helped take the needles off was a Golf greens divot tool,
like these below,
you can pick them up at a golf store, the fork slides under the needle then they pry right off because the tool has a little bend to it. works great every time. never broke any of the needles...they are super cheap..
