Default Good driving roads near I-90?

I'll be taking another drive from WA to IN here in a couple of weeks. I'm trying to see if there are any good roads that split off of I-90 that might be fun to take the vette on. I'm not trying to add a ton of time to the trip, but if anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them!

Ooh. If it's anything like what google map shows, that's perfect! Thank you!

oh, there's plenty of roads through the hills that'd be fun to drive... but they'll easily take hours of your day.
playhouse rd; iron mountain rd; nemo rd; hwy 385; needles hwy; vanocker canyon rd; etc.

aside from the hills, you can also hit up the badlands nat'l park (just outside of wall, sd... which is also worth the stop). the rest of i90 east of there is just glorious farmland until you hit lake michigan.

Beartooth Hwy opens on or near Memorial Day depending on snow levels… I usually loop back on Chief Joseph Hwy…

Oh god that looks gorgeous. I don't know if I'll be able to take it, as I'm going on my trip in a week, which is obviously before Memorial Day. I'll check it out though, maybe I'll get lucky?

So, weather and a failing torque tube kept me from driving down any of the roads I had planned. Beartooth was closed, and when I hit Spearfish it was raining so hard I didn't want to risk driving down a twisty, unknown road with poor visibility. That, and a lot of unhappy noises were coming from the torque tube, so I opted to just make my focus getting home asap.

Still very much appreciate the responses. I'll come back to them some day, with a more mechanically sound car lol.

aww, sad. glad you made it home, though.
i've been there: driving halfway across the country & at the mid point ended up hanging out with some random car guys who caught me at the gas station & invited me out to some back road fun... but i couldn't risk screwing up my car 1000mi from either place i needed to be.
