A quite search of this and the C7 forum will verify that Intercity is at the top of the heap as they take the worry out of auto transport. I'd recommend not to use brokers as you lose all control over who is actually transporting your vehicle. You are basically rolling the dice as to whether you get a good reliable carrier or one that is clueless. There have been instances where brokers have used multiple carriers allowing vehicles to wait in dirty rodent infested warehouses or on outside lots waiting for another carrier to pick up. I've heard of where brokers have used as many a (3) different trucks/drivers to get a car to it's final destination. Each time a car is unloaded/re-loaded on a truck represents risk of damage.
The good auto transporters don't need brokers to find them jobs.

Agree with tadda - I am having my car shipped from MacMulkin to me. I actually spoke with Matt at Intercity when I told him I was getting the car from MacMulkin he said not to worry. Macmulkin will help me arrange delivery through them and they will take excellent care of the car. Matt also said they treat every car they ship as if it were their own regardless of the dealer it is being shipped from or any car they transport.

You are in good hands with Intercity and Matt. Know them well. Always my first choice for transport.

I used Intercity to move a Cobra from MA to NC. They move cars for Jay Leno. Tip the driver $100. (High end owners tip $2,000 for million dollar cars.)

If you have a truck, have you considered an auto transport trailer? I trailered mine home to Texas from the NCM on a UHAul transport. Saved a lot of money and met a lot of people on the road. Every stop, I had a conversation about the car. It was an awesome trip.

I've used Intercity more times than I can remember. They are the best. I just bought a Corvette out in Ohio. Unfortunately, they are tied up in Monterey right now.
Try them first. You can maintain contact with the driver and they treat the car like it was their own.

Does the truck have to be at the museum on a specific day or will the NCM store your car until the truck gets there? Typically a major transport company can't promise an exact date from my experience. Just an estimate and it can be a while.

I’ve used Intercity three times, no issues. With the C8 I used Plycar, no issues. Would have used Intercity but they pretty well booked an my selling dealer in CO recommended Plycar. Very competitive, nice truck, great driver. From CO to my door in CA in 18 hours.

I have used Intercity many times. They are awesome. I did not have very good luck with passport when I tried them. They move you care from trailer to trailer on there way to your site. Intercity stay's in the trailer the whole way with same driver.

Thank you for the comment, we want to be honest with you up front. We typically are going East to West and vice versa, so our availability from KY to Houston is not the greatest. We do not want to give you bad service so in routes where we cannot offer good availability with timing, we typically tell you that is a route we do not service. If you have any other questions or you have open flexibility with timing, please give me a call to discuss.
Thank You,
Jim

I used Intercity to ship from MM to Tampa in 2018 and was very happy with their service. However when I asked for a quote from the museum to Tampa recently they said they don’t service that route. I used Plycar and was very pleased with the results.

Do an "Advanced search" and you'll find a LOT of relevant threads... in not here at the C8 threads, certainly across the C7 Forum. All the best.

I used Bear transport which is a broker, I always use direct shippers and not brokers but Bear was so highly recommended on rennlist which is the Porsche forum that I sent Liz an email who was very responsive and her price was very good. I expressed my worries that it was a brand new 2023 Corvette and she reassured me not to worry, I told her I didn’t want a truck with ramps and again she made sure I had a truck with a lift gate. She literally got my car booked within a day and I had my car within a week. I am the type that does not like anyone touching my cars let alone even sitting in them just to give you an idea of what type of person is recommending this transporting company.
The driver ended up being an owner operator and had real pride in his business and my car arrived exactly the way it left the dealership.
I would recommend Liz in a heartbeat, she does this all day long and she really was great.

I have no affiliation with this company, I am just a happy customer who had my brand new Corvette recently delivered by them.
