Got to Sit in a ZR1 Today (Pics)
Sat in a ZR1 today down in West Palm Beach at Schumacher. Brought my car in for a free oil change. Will never go back to them again. Thats another story. The interior of this ZR1 is identical to my 427 Limited Edition Z06. Same exact leather color combo. I felt like I was sitting in my car. The center console was a different color carbon fiber and their was the F55 control. Everything else was just about identical. I did not like the hood at all. It really wasn't a good decision on GM's part to do the glass window thing. The entire car is simply beautiful, but not worth the asking price shown here. They already turned down offers of 50k over sticker. Pictures taken with a shaky hand and an iPhone

Although the ZR1 is no F599, if GM slows down production of all Corvettes and the problems get worse at GM who knows what the future brings. I wouldn't run out and pay 190K for a ZR1 but I don't think you have to pay that much if you really do some homework.
I'm paying MSRP and that may be the deal of the century. We'll see.

And.....here-in lies the problem with those who say wait till the prices come down. I am still waiting about 3 years for an F599 GTB Ferrari. I wouldn't pay what their asking and said I'll wait for MSRP. My local Ferrari dealer says the price will never come down because the market is there through good times and bad....He may be right.

You just might get your MSRP for the F599 sooner than you think. I know that the F430 prices are dropping like a rock. You can now purchase 2007 around $205-209,000. Some of the guys are pass MSRP for the 2008 F430. Not sure if they are waiting for the replacement or because of the market.
I think the high mark up on the ZR1 have a short shelf life.

Ahhh stop hating!! The car will be sold soon to someone has enough money and he/she would not give a crap what others think!!
Remember, most(but not all) affluent people are not idiots!! In this case, they just want their toys right now and don't want to wait for it.
Either way, this car is worth every penny and is not over-priced at anywhere below $150K.
