If you know what hp you are putting out, this document can help. Even if you're not exactly sure, it can help.
Do the formulas in the link and find where they recommend jumping to 24lbs. If I remember right, it's around 330hp.
I'm betting you're right on the edge between the two. The smaller one will have a longer pulse and work a little harder. But, unless you do WOT all day long, that won't matter. You won't overheat the coil. (That's the issue with excessive pulse widths).
W/O retuning....If you have an AFPR, I'd choose the smaller. If gas mileage is important, I'd choose the smaller (less gas used during open loop). And, if you look on Vader's website, some extensively modified cars are running 22lb'ers!

I would think that the 22 pounders would be good for 350 HP and I bet his combo with the stock intake is not exceeding 300....I'm prolly around 275 if i'm lucky, and running 19 lb. Ford yellow tops which seem to be happy at 40 psi. I would go with the smaller ones unless you start upgrading the intake and or heads.

I had bought my yellow tops before I really knew much ( 4 years ago)and did not get a chance to run them until recently. I have watched the FIC video, and was quite pleased with the spray pattern and the fact that the Fords were not some of the more "problematic" injectors shown in the demonstration. I think I paid 125 bucks at the time and they were considerably cheaper than the stock replacements, accel, etc. If I was buying today, I would go with new type lll's for sure.

I just got the Bosch Gen III's for my stock '96. Jon said that was the way to go. Haven't had a chance to really compare gas mileage on a trip. The car runs great though. The way he explained it was that these were "New Old stock". They are new injectors bought from a company/companies going out of business and liquidating their stock. Jon takes all of these that he buys like this and flow test them to match each other. The 24's were what he recommended I use. I did mention a future Hotcam/RR/and new springs possibility. Not sure if that had much to do with his decision or not.

mike.. all the lt1's came with a 24lb injector. the choice was easy. You can add FP and get it to almost 30. so its the right one for your car even with the future mods. The L98 came with 22's but alot of guys are running 24's , 26's and 30's. I think we will stick with the 22's for Calderone.. Glad your car is running great!
Put the timing back to 6*, haven't driven it though... No time today, rain tomorrow.

I guess I am wrong, as I thought the batch fire 92-93's had the 22's and the 94-97 sequential injections had 24's. My stock 92 vette came with 22's and my 96 trans am has 24's in it from factory. Somebody here on the forum found proof and backed me up. The lt4's had 28's I think, could be wrong again there.
