Flared Fenders Part 2, New Wheels/Tires [Pics]
Edited--New pics with a clean car.
I got the new wheels and tires for my flared fenders on today. The fronts are 18x9.5 @ 50mm with 265/35/18 and the rear are 19x12 @ 59mm with 345/30/19. The rears are also using a 1/2" spacer and they still tuck under the flares. The finish to the wheels is called Hyper Silver.
This combo fits perfectly under the rear fenders and looks awesome.
I will answer any questions and post more details along with cleaned up pics later on tonight.
This is the 1/2 inch spacer. New rotors coming soon.
I also added the RKSport carbon fiber scoop covers the other day.
Damn, the front gap looks huge. It is lowered though, and 1/3rd of the bushing is cut...
I am thrilled with the new look.
edit: here's a link to part 1 of this adventure. you can see the old wheels that looked puny inside these fenders. those wheels and tires actually sat perfectly flush with the stock fenders, btw.

Ya know...the more I see this, the more I realize that these rear flares are so VERY appropriate for the C5. They bring back some of the curves from the C3 days circa 1970's and even though it's a borrowed design from the C6Z they actually look more natural for the C5.
Congrats on the mod...it looks spectacular!

sorry, im still going to be the oddball out and say it just doesn't look right. you need some deep dish rear wheels. look at 74-Roadsters setup, just like yours, but he has deeeeeeeep dish wheels. that "makes" the look...
at any rate. this does look better then your pics before! good job man!

actually, i've never liked the look of deep dish wheels for some reason...i dunno. but i've always loved the look of the c6z design, my previous wheels were z07's and so i'm going to stick with this style.
appreciate the comments.
